Just seen this on BBC2's The Culture Show... Gary Card, set/costume designer and illustrator, in a shop for LNCC. This is made from cheap timber - the lesson is that it's the idea/feel that's important, not (necessarily) the materials. Lighting is also really important.

  1. Just had a look at the culture show - Yes I can really see this working for sketch models - Looks like just paper and pen on cardbaord - lovely!
    And I agree lighting and design idea giving strong feeling & emotion - as in Gary Card's LNCC - rather than high cost & slickness
