Greening the area

There is definitely a need for more greenery.
A thought is green walls like New Street Square london

but I think this might be too high maintenance for the area. 
What about ivy? - It's low maintenance & doesn't mind shade.

    I agree we definitely need more plants. I like the verticality of the green walls and with the right plants you could create 'scenes' or pictures to complement the dressed buildings (sets ~ costumes? or are the plants the 'actors'). I think if properly designed (irrigation etc.) and the right plants chosen green walls are not too high maintenance.
